Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again - a disappointment (review)

The much awaited flick Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Again, the sequel of Once Upon a Time in Mumbai has proved to be mere just another gangster movie. The movie stood nowhere to the benchmark set by Once Upon a Time in Mumbai starring Ajay Devgun, who made a big impact as Sultan Mirza and Imran Hashmi the notorious guy. Akshay Kumar as Shoiab and Imran Khan as Aslam (Akshay's subordinate) hardly made any impact. Imran Khan does not at all fit in the gangster role.
Sonakshi Sinha though performed well the short role given to her

The dialogue and the direction of the movie is really dull and gloomy. All in all a very disappointing and forgettable performance from the  Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and The Dirty Picture Team.

Chennai Express on Track - Collects Rs 33.12 Crore On Its Opening Day

The film 'Chennai Express' which released on the auspicious day of Eid has managed to earn a record opening of Rs 33.12 crores. It is further expected to do well in India and abroad seeing its current earning rate.
The promotions for the movie, SRK-factor as well as the festival of Eid boosted the earnings of Chennai Express. The buzz about the movie was also pretty strong even before its release in theatres. Rs 6.75 were collected in India only on thursday. Gaurav Verma, the distributor for the film revealed that they have got an overwhelming response and the film is being loved by everyone. He said that Chennai Express is although running in the highest number of cinemas, and the film is all set to create many records.
Chennai Express which is rumoured to be made at a budget of around 70 crores has been doing good in South India also. The factor which seems to help the movie is postponement of release of 'Thalaivaa' which stars Karthik who is one of the leading stars of South India.  Chennai Express has Deepika Padukone in the role of a Tamil girl and Shahrukh Khan as a North Indian man. Although Deepika's Malayalam-like accent is being criticized by the experts, the film is doing good in South. Infact it is the best opening for any Shahrukh or Rohit Shetty film.

"Billu" Review

SRK's much talked flick "Billu" got a bad bad response from the audience on the very first day.
people hardly liked the movie though it has the brand name SRK in it.

If Shah Rukh Khan was supposed to be the backbone of the film, he should have been given a justified role in the movie. than "Billu" would have been much better. The items songs are so badly incorporated that they seems to be promo songs of some other movies. The actress (Lara Dutta) is seen in eyeliners and lip glosses when there is no food to eat for the family. Asrani, Raj Pal Yadav and Om Puri seems to be doing same roles again and again, particularly in a Priyadarshan movie.

The list of flaws in the direction and concept is endless and as a result the movie got the treatement it deserves.

Bad reponse and sad sad time for the "Billu" team.

Chandni Chowk To China: A cold Show

Akshay kumar's much awaited movie "Chandni Chowk to China" fell flat on its face on very first day. Crowd preferred to stay away from the movie and those who watched were not satisfied at all.

"We were expecting much more than served" says a disappointed viewer.

An Akki fan says "Akshay and Deepika were good in the movie but the script was very poor"

Really the script could have been fantastic one but instead it was disappointing.
The problem with CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA is that it lacks a watertight screenplay to keep you glued for those 2.45 hours. Agreed, you don't look for logic and reason in hardcore potboilers, but the least the director and his team of writers could do is provide loads of entertainment. Sadly, writers Shridhar Raghavan and Rajat Aroraa make mincemeat of a plot that had the potential to woo viewers all around the world.

On the whole, CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA was a brilliant opportunity which gone begging. The film falls way below expectations and is a major disappointment in all areas.

Best wishes to the CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA team to make the movie stay at the theaters as long as possible
