Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again - a disappointment (review)

The much awaited flick Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Again, the sequel of Once Upon a Time in Mumbai has proved to be mere just another gangster movie. The movie stood nowhere to the benchmark set by Once Upon a Time in Mumbai starring Ajay Devgun, who made a big impact as Sultan Mirza and Imran Hashmi the notorious guy. Akshay Kumar as Shoiab and Imran Khan as Aslam (Akshay's subordinate) hardly made any impact. Imran Khan does not at all fit in the gangster role.

The dialogue and the direction of the movie is really dull and gloomy. All in all a very disappointing and forgettable performance from the  Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and The Dirty Picture Team.

Akshay : Demand Decides My Movies

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar stated that the films he does are influenced by the demand in the market . He said that he was quite ok playing action-comedy roles again and again. 45-year old Akshay rules the comedy genre with his successful movies like Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, Joker, Khiladi 786 as well as Desi Boyz, Tees Maar Khan, Khatta Meetha and De Dana Dan. Akshay innocently said he had no other choice than doing those movies. He said that if people want to see that type, he has to work on it. But he  also added that he has taken a short break from comedy roles with 'Special 26' and recently in his upcoming movie 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara'. He will be playing a negative role in this movie after a long gap. He played the bad guy in 2001 released Ajnabee.

Akshay jokingly added that he enjoyed putting gun on the hero's head. He did this on screen for the first time. In the movie  'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara' he will be reviving the role of Shoaib Khan which was earlier played by Emraan Hashmi. He further added that thankfully his role was not made dead in the movie but has to just flee away. Akshay hinted that the third part of the movie might come. The film starring Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan has been directed by Milan Luthria is set to hit theatres on 15th August.

There Is No Competition: Imran Khan

Imran Khan's upcoming release Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara is scheduled to release on August 15th. Since it is just a week after release of Shahrukh-starrer  'Chennai Express', Imran doesn't seem to take stress about it. His theory of success of a film depends on the recent market in Cinema. He said that since market is bigger now and exhibitors and number of theaters have significantly increased , no film can pose a competition to a film releasing one week later. Well that is good and valid logic from Imran.

Imran Khan is playing a goon of 1980s in his new film which is the sequel of the hit movie 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai' released in 2010. The new flick also features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. directed by Milan Luthria, the film is one of the most expected movies of the year.

Imran Khan has said that because of his profession he could not fast in Ramzaan. Also he is getting hardly any time for his wife Avantika. He thinks that after working recently in few movies, he has broken his chocolate boy image. The actor who started his career with 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' described Akshay Kumar as funny, charming and totally down-to-earth guy.

Imran has been on career high after 'Delhi Belly' and we wish him further success with the release of movie 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara'.

Katrina Kaif Is Looking Extremely Hot In Tees Maar Khan

It’s a classic case of good girl gone bad. Post her demure, sari-clad avatar in ‘Raajneeti’, Katrina Kaif is all set to raise temperatures at the Box Office with her raunchy item number in Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’.
Buzz has it that Katrina has dropped clothes for sizzling item number - ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’, where she oozes with raw sex appeal in a white satin sheet for the same. Well, it’s a feat which no other director can boast off except Farah Khan, who brings a never seen side of Katrina Kaif on the silver screen.
Talking to a daily on Katrina’s item song, Farah said, “‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ was supposed to be a raunchy item Bhojpuri kind of song as Katrina`s a wannabe actress acting in sleazy films but the song shaped out to be classy and a mix between Chicago and Broadway. I have never seen Katrina looking both hot and sensuous at the same time. In her earlier films, she`s dressed mostly like a Barbie doll.”
When enquired whether Katrina had any reservations before giving her consent for the item song, a confident Farah said, “Katrina really trusted me and didn`t argue even once when I told her what she had to wear. She just told me that she needs to start working out and tone her body more. I never told Katrina to lose weight. We shot ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ in five days and every day we had a new set and new costumes.
For the satin bed sheet, we had a 10 feet rotating bed with the men around her. She would shoot with us and then go and work out at 11.30 pm so that her abs would be toned. Her dedication is tremendous. She didn`t feel awkward with so many men around. The more they screamed and cheered for her, the more she got a high and her energy levels increased.” Source

Kareena smooched Akshay !!

Kareena has already added glam to her upcoming movies Kambaqt Ishq by wearing a swimsuit, but noe the news is that she also smooched her 40+ years old co-star Akshay.
Initially kareena was not comfortable kissing Akshay, with whom her elser sis used to give staemy scens and at that time Kareena was only 12. Even Akki was too not comfortable kissing Bebo. But in the end they both agreed to do so just for the sake and demand of the story.

After all they are pure professionalists.

Chandni Chowk To China: A cold Show

Akshay kumar's much awaited movie "Chandni Chowk to China" fell flat on its face on very first day. Crowd preferred to stay away from the movie and those who watched were not satisfied at all.

"We were expecting much more than served" says a disappointed viewer.

Really the script could have been fantastic one but instead it was disappointing.
The problem with CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA is that it lacks a watertight screenplay to keep you glued for those 2.45 hours. Agreed, you don't look for logic and reason in hardcore potboilers, but the least the director and his team of writers could do is provide loads of entertainment. Sadly, writers Shridhar Raghavan and Rajat Aroraa make mincemeat of a plot that had the potential to woo viewers all around the world.

On the whole, CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA was a brilliant opportunity which gone begging. The film falls way below expectations and is a major disappointment in all areas.

Akshay praises Shah Rukh

It seems the war of words has become a sort of trend among the Bollywood actors. On one side Aamir, Salman and SRK are accusing each other on way or other, Akshay Kumar is praising SRK along with himself.

Akki said “Shah Rukh Khan and I are the only actors in current times who have attained this level of success all on our own without any godfather backing us. We came without any connections in Bollywood and have still managed to reach this stage by sheer hard work and determination.”

But after making all theses praises Akki was quick to add that there is only one king in the Bollywood, and that is Amitabh Bachchan.

Singer Akki emerges again

Akshay Kumar has given his fans another reason to be happy. For his next film Chandni Chowk to China, he has recorded a song in just 20 minutes and that too without any preparations. Director Nikhil Advani called Akki for the recording of the song, the day he returned from Cape Town, South Africa. And guess within an hour the song was recorded. After all Akki has done rapping for his last film Singh is King also. So hopefully, Akshay must have had not any difficulties while recording. So this KING really SINGS!!

Akshay had an expensive Diwali bash

There was news that Akshay Kumar is charging too much of money from his producers. Rumors are even that Akki is compelling them to pay a large percent of the profit earned from his projects too.

On Diwali Akki organized a huge Casino party, which costed him a lot. Several event managers were hired too.

Do not know whether Akki is getting ready for the possible BAD time, which could hit bollywood due to the global recession????
