She has played the part of a single mother, a pregnant woman, a woman in a
patriarchal society to a woman being termed as 'sex symbol'. Vidya
Balan feels that acting lets one person live another person's world.
Although her last release 'Ghanchakkar'
directed by Rajkumar Gupta was not a big commercial success, she said
that acting is not about proving oneself.Vidya Balan, who played the role of a Punjabi
woman with a weird dressing sense, said that she tries to relate to the
character she plays.
After playing lead roles in successful movies like 'Kahaani' and 'The Dirty Picture', she said she
was completely ok as she was playing second lead in the movie. Vidya also
revealed that she has no interest in production as yet. She is married to Siddharth
Roy Kapur, Managing Director of Studios, Disney UTV. She will be seen opposite Farhan Akhtar in her forthcoming
film 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects'.
