The actor and recently turned producer, John Abraham had to shed
weight for his upcoming film 'Madras Cafe'. It is also in the news that John has been recently chosen the brand ambassador for the
fitness freak brand Reebok. The movie is slated to release on 23 August 2013 and stars Nargis Fakhiri.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the movie is a political-thiller shot in
Sri Lanka and India.
Sircar told the reporters that the heroism of the film is the content,
not John. "I had asked John to lose weight for this film and he did that.
If he stands in a crowd, he should not stand out, he should look like one of
them as he is not hero in the film. You will see a new John in the
film".
Filmmaker Sircar is relieved after 'Madras Cafe' got a clearance
from The Censor Board with U/A certificate. Sircar, who has worked with
John previously on 'Vicky Donor' termed their relationship as great. He
said that both will be working on more scripts hopefully.
